
Like my cute pal? She’s a one-year old three-toed tree sloth. Say that fast ten times.
Turns out the sloth’s best life is a bi-species one. Sloth moms leave their babies when they’re too young to hide from eagles and find food. So the people in the forest villages take in the sloth babies and raise them for a couple of years until they decide it’s time to move out.

Aw, Auntie Amy…dishin’ out some slothful love.

The adult below hung around our lodge for a few days, mostly in the tree, occasionally on the ground.
